The service

These terms cover this website and the Platbound desktop app. Both are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind: we cannot promise the app is free of errors, that its curated content is complete or correct for every game, or that Steam will keep working the way it does today. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app or the site.

Platbound is a read-only companion tool. It never modifies achievements, stats, Steam, its files, or your games — it reads the public Steam Web API and files the Steam client already stores on your device, and writes nothing back.

Your licence

When you buy Platbound you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. Don't share, resell, or publish your licence, don't try to break or overload our servers, and don't redistribute our curated content as your own.

Purchases

When paid plans launch, the seller of record for every purchase is Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the payment, the invoice, and any sales tax or VAT, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the transaction itself. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from Paddle's customer portal; see our refund policy for how refunds work.

Intellectual property

Platbound's code, design, and curated content are ours. Game names, artwork, and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and appear here only to identify the games the app covers.
